We bused from Dresden, Germany to Prague, Czech Republic on what was a rather wet and miserable day.
I don’t have an awful lot to say about Prague. While we didn’t have a bad experience, I wasn’t taken by the city as I had other cities. I think we had best revisit Prague either in the height of summer or the depth of winter with snow everywhere.
We arrived first thing in Krakow, Poland on an overnight train from Prague. Within an hour of arriving at out hostel, I was on a bus to Auschwitz. Michael had already been on a previous trip so I was doing this on my own.
We ate good food (especially the dumplings!)
Visited the Salt Mine.
And generally had a good time.
We stayed at Mosquito Hostel in Krakow, and this was, without doubt, the best hostel experience we’d had to date. So much was included in the price – breakfast, lunch, some dinners, washing, nightly pub crawls – and as a purpose built hostel, the facilities were great.
Jake and Danny, friends from New Zealand were staying there with us and we also picked up some lovely Scottish girls who we arranged to catch up with again in Budapest.
Krakow, we’ll be back.
